PROJECT SPECIFICATIONS
Macon Municipal Utilities is requesting bids to remove existing concrete and pour 7200 square feet of new concrete driveway at 404 Vine Street Macon, MO. The “L” shaped driveway is to be removed and replaced with 7200 square feet of new concrete. Width of the driveway varies from 32 feet close to Vine Street and 24 feet towards the west end of the pour where it concludes. Concrete will be 8 inches thick with 1 inch steel dowels, 14 inches long at 12-inch centers on chairs at the construction panel joints. Existing concrete shall be removed and hauled away. Sub grade shall be graded and packed allowing for 4 inches of 1 inch minus rock and 8 inches of concrete to bring final top of new concrete grade out to be same as the adjoining driveway. The project is time sensitive, completion is to be 30 days or less following project start with a $400/day penalty each calendar day thereafter; project must be completed by November 30, 2022. There are 2 wastewater manholes and 1 storm drain that lies within the new concrete driveway area that will need to be finished into the driveway. All saw cuts and construction joints are to be sealed. All work should comply with American Public Works Association (APWA) specifications, Sections 2100 and 2200.
