Macon Municipal Utilities is collecting bids for the purchase and removal of 6 Caterpillar 3516B 1825KW Prime 13.8 KV (currently being used in 12.47 KV system) High-Voltage Generators ranging in hours from 235 to 270. The purchase and removal would also include the associated remote-control cabinets and switchgear. Two units are located at 1411 Noll Drive, Macon, MO 63552 and four units are located at 2105 Kellogg Avenue, Macon, MO 63552. Successful bidder will submit the highest purchase price that incorporates their plan to remove the generator packages and auxiliary pieces of equipment. MMU will be responsible for the electrical disconnecting of all said equipment. MMU will also remove the leftover diesel fuel in all generator sets. Bids are due by 1:00 pm on January 31, 2023.
