Scope of Work
Macon Municipal Utilities (MMU) is accepting bids to calculate, haul, and place a well graduated 8’’ stone to 1,327 feet of shoreline along the Macon Lake Dam near 1201 Noll Drive, Macon, Missouri. Contractor will haul and place rock with an excavator in a 6-foot width along the shoreline, starting at water line and working up the dam. Rock calculations should use 24-inch depth as an average. Please refer to the attached rock graduation sheet provided when calculating the rock to be used. Rock may be attained from any quarry but needs to be equivalent to the that on the specified graduation sheet. Contractor will be allowed to travel across the top of the dam to dump rock for the excavator that is placing the rock along the waterline. Before work is to begin the top of the dam elevation shall be shot and recorded. After heavy equipment work is complete, the contractor is responsible for providing dress up of the disturbed soil and grass. As part of dress up it is important that the top of the dam be returned to its original elevation before the project began. If selected, work shall be performed in the Summer/Fall of 2021 during dry conditions. The contractor will be permitted to stock pile rock for the project on MMU property one-half mile to the west along the outer road.
