North Water Tower Rehabilitation

Request for Engineering Qualifications

Macon Municipal Utilities is requesting engineering qualifications for repainting and safety improvements to be made to a 1 million-gallon hydropillar water tower in 2021.  The work would consist of rehabilitation of the interior wet bowl, interior dry portion, and the exterior of the tank.  A copy of the inspection report from 2020 is available upon request.  MMU’s goal is to select an engineer during the fall of 2020, collect bids the winter of 2020-2021, and schedule the work to be completed in the summer/fall of 2021.

Engineering firms interested in being considered to assist in the solicitation of bids from contractors and construction oversight are requested to submit qualifications to Macon Municipal Utilities, 106 W. Bourke Street, Macon, Missouri 63552 no later than 5:00 pm on Wednesday, September 9, 2020.  Submittals should include examples of assisting communities with water tower projects.  Two copies of the statements of qualifications should be submitted.
